IMS Dynamic Forms for Incident Management and Quality Workflows

Delivered a configurable incident management form engine supporting dynamic questions, validation rules, severity classification, and reporting workflows.

The Challenge

An aged care technology team needed to replace rigid incident forms with a configurable IMS workflow that could adapt to changing incident types, SIRS-related fields, severity classification, evidence capture, approvals, and downstream reporting requirements. Hard-coded forms made change expensive and slowed quality improvement processes.

Our Approach

AgedTech AU built a dynamic form engine with configurable tools, questions, sections, validation rules, conditional display logic, calculated fields, activity history, and role-based workflow transitions. The IMS module supported incident registers, SAC-style classification, evidence attachments, escalation, exportable reports, and links to improvement actions and quality governance workflows.

Outcomes

  • Enabled rapid configuration of incident forms without redeploying application code
  • Supported severity classification, evidence capture, and audit-friendly activity history
  • Connected incident data with quality improvement actions and management reporting
  • Reduced long-term maintenance overhead for changing compliance and operational requirements
